Students get essay writing activities for generally all the academic subjects. Not all students are well-equipped with essay writing activities , so there for confront the biggest problem on how to write an essay! However to succeed in academic grades, students need to present the essay which would not only help them to score good points but also appeal their teacher. The teacher gets to know the basic knowledge and understanding of the student through his/her essay. Generally the teacher looks through the following areas when reading a student's essay: Catching introduction The student should introduce the topic in such a way that it grabs the interest of the teacher. The introduction should create secrecy and conspiracy and raise question for the teacher so that he/she would have interest in reading the complete essay. Also it is not necessary that whole content is summarized in first paragraph otherwise it might not appeal the teacher to read through entire essay. Informative body The introduction should give a general overview about the essay, while the body should include detail description of the points mentioned in the introduction. It should be in a story format and should provide all the required information about the topic. Satisfactory conclusion The conclusion of the essay should give a feeling of closure to the teacher. It should be short and comprehensive and should convey a message. Also it should restate the main point of the topic and should help the teacher to understand the essay. Organized thoughts In order to make the essay appear effective to the teacher, the students should organized their thoughts and ideas and put up in the essay. A well organized and less clustered essay depicts the efficiency of the student. Usage of big words Most of the students feel that usage of big words would make their essay appear good. It is all right to use big words but it should be appropriately used in the content. Usage of illustration This is very important while writing the essay. If the student presents the essay with good and meaningful illustrations, then the teacher can well relate with the subject. No grammatical errors If the grammatical errors are more in an essay it would appear messy and awful. The more the grammatical errors the less would be the scores achieved. Necessary punctuations and phrases should be aptly used and placed in an essay. Continuity The teacher would want to read the student's essay if there is continuity in the content. It is also necessary to effectively paragraph the content. Vague presentation of ideas and statements would make the essay look confusing. To the point The student should not drift away from the topic while describing a theme in their essay. All the information and examples should be to the point and related to the topic of the essay. Writing skills This not only includes the handwriting of the student but also how well the essay is written. Good handwriting and well presented essay creates good impression on the teacher.
