How much can I get for testing games?
Depending on the manufacturer, you can earn about $10 – to a ceiling of $80 – per hour.

Why do companies need a video game tester?
Just like the customer satisfaction forms you fill-up after eating at a restaurant, game companies need customer feedback to modify or improve their games. If not for game testers, game companies would not be able to add new features or remove glitches in their game. You decide what they should reformat or change in the game’s interface. That’s because your opinion counts!

What are the work hours?
Believe it or not, you control your work hours. You can test the game everyday, or once a week. It depends on you. It’s just a matter of working on the video game the company sends you. In other cases, you might need to frequent the local testing center. All these are done in your own time.

When do I receive the check?
After finishing the assignment the company has given you, they will send your check in the mail immediately. Most companies pay the game testers on the 1st and 15th of every month. These payment options vary, however. Proofread the contract or ask the company before you take on the job.

What are the requirements?
There is a little demand for the company’s part. The only requirement you must meet is the age. You must be 15 years old or order to be a game tester. You need not be a high school or college graduate or be proficient in systems. You just need to be an old-enough gamer!

Can I keep the game after?
Yes you can. In fact, most companies allow the game testers to keep the game disc after the review. Some game testers have done so many reviews that they already have game libraries in their houses.
